Quarantine in Healing Barn

Service Description

Horses should be quarantined for 21 days before integrating into a herd. Many horses get shipping fever, or other illnesses if they are coming into a new environment or from an auction. We have a secluded quarantine field and our Healing Barn offers them a chance to catch their breath and potentially heal before they head to their new, and hopefully forever, home. We offer daily feeding, will administer medication if needed, fresh hay and water, blanketing, twice a day fever checks, photos and videos each day, as well as meeting the vet and farrier if you are not available. We also have 24 hour surveillance and check on the horse in quarantine regularly throughout the day via camera, and in person. Our quarantine field has double protection so they will not touch any other horse, but they are able to see our herd so they do not feel alone. Quarantine cannot always be available at your own farm or boarding location, so this is a great option to protect your current horses from any potential sickness or virus. Hauling is also available for an additional fee/mile to and from our farm.
